Welcome to Ville du Voile - the city hidden behind the Veil. At first glance, the city seems ordinary: glowing nightlife, crowded streets, luxury towers, underground clubs, and endless rain falling against neon lights.
But beneath the surface lies another world entirely - one filled with ancient magic, dangerous creatures, cursed bloodlines, and secrets buried deep within the city's heart.
For centuries, the Veil has kept humanity blind to the supernatural. But now it weakens.
Creatures once trapped in shadow roam freely through the streets.
Forgotten relics resurface.
Rival factions rise in power while witches, hunters, vampires, fae, demons, and humans fight for survival and control over the city.
In Ville du Voile, power comes with a price. Trust is dangerous. And every secret eventually finds its way into the light. Forge alliances. Create enemies. Build your legacy.
Your story begins here.
The Laws of the Veil
Welcome to the Veil. To keep our dark modern realm thriving and immersive, all denizens must adhere to the following edicts.
I. The Bloodline & Manifestation
- The Threshold of Maturity: All playable characters and their visual avatars must be unequivocally of adult age. No underage entities are permitted across the threshold. All of RPC's rules will be upheld and any underage writers or VPN users will immediately be turned over to the owner of RPC.
- The Melting Pot: All manner of creatures, monsters, and mortals are welcome, provided they can seamlessly blend into our modern dark fantasy tapestry.
- The Open Gate: No tedious ledgers, Google Forms, or formal approvals are required. If your character inherently fits the world, they are welcome to walk its streets.
II. The Code of Conduct
- The Veil of Respect: Treat your fellow writers with respect. Cruelty belongs strictly to the characters, not the authors.
- Mundane Grievances: Out-of-Character (OOC) drama is strictly forbidden. Personal feuds must be exiled to private messages between writers. The Arbiters (Moderators) will not waste their breath on petty squabbles.
- The Marked Ones: Exile is absolute. If you have been banned, it is because your reputation for OOC malice in other realms preceded you.
- The Watchers' Word: The authority of the Arbiters and Creators is absolute. Blocking or blacklisting administration is an act of treason and results in immediate banishment.
III. Territory & Chronicle Lore
- Domain Ownership: Player-owned havens, businesses, and sanctums are highly encouraged! We only ask that you maintain the lifeblood of these locations.
- Ruination & Ruin: Do not scar, burn, or destroy another player's property without the explicit consent of that location's owner.
- Grand Designs: If you intend to weave a major plotline that alters the fabric of the room, you must consult the Arbiters first to ensure it does not fracture the world's lore.
IV. The Boundaries of the Dark
- The Pact of Consent: No writer should ever be coerced into a narrative that crosses their personal boundaries. Communicate your limits clearly. We gather here to enjoy the dark, not to inflict genuine discomfort.
- The Grim & The Graphic: Adult themes and dark, visceral scenes are permitted within the open narrative. If a current scene displeases you or triggers discomfort, we encourage you to use temporary blocks until the shadows clear.
- The Call to Wander: Step out of the familiar dark. We encourage you to seek out new blood and weave threads with unfamiliar writers.
- The Whispered OOC: Keep Out-of-Character chatter to an absolute minimum while active roleplay is flowing. When you must speak out of character, shroud your words in brackets.

- Lennon Tolek: Moderator
